Advanced (Rotating) Schedules

Print Page
For children whose schedules rotate back and forth you'll want to use the built-in "advanced" scheduling feature. This allows you to rotate multiple weekly schedules back and forth (automatically) with two or more weeks in rotation.

Getting There

Video: Advanced Scheduling First you'll need to configure Procare to use the "advanced" scheduling feature.
  1. From the Procare Home screen go to Configuration > System > Locations & Users > Regions & Schools > Select a Region (or School) and click Set Options.
  2. At the Options screen choose Family Data (left side)
  3. Then under Standard Options (right side) choose "Advanced" under Scheduling Type.
  4. Click Save > Exit.

Using Rotating Schedules

On each Child's Schedule you'll now have the option to indicate a starting week (usually week 1) and the number of weeks in rotation (2, 3, 4, etc.).  First, set the beginning and ending date range for the schedule(s) - for example, the school year. For children whose schedules do not rotate the weeks in rotation will remain at 1. For children with rotating schedules you can set up multiple weeks all at once. For example show week 1 as Tuesday, Thursday - then continue on with week 2 as Monday, Wednesday, Friday. The schedules will automatically rotate based on the number of weeks set up. A two week rotation would have each schedule in effect every other week, while a three week rotation would use each schedule every third week and so forth.
