Install Windows Updates before Procare
Make sure the Procare Touch Computer has internet access then install the latest Windows Updates. Go to
Start > All Programs > Windows Update.
Using a Mouse and Keyboard (not supplied)
Although the touch computer does not come with a mouse or keyboard you may wish to connect your own USB mouse/keyboard for installation and setup purposes. Or use the Windows on-screen keyboard instead of a physical keyboard. Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Accessibility > On-Screen Keyboard.
How do I install without a CD drive?
You’ll notice the touch computer does not have a CD drive. To install the Procare "Client" software choose one of the following:

- To install from CD follow the Basic Installation Instructions and:
- Share a CD drive from another computer on your network, or…
- Copy the contents of the Procare CD to a USB drive and install from that, or…
- Connect an external USB CD drive (not supplied) to the touch computer.
This Computer will be used as a Check In Station
During installation you'll be asked if people will be checking in from this computer. Be sure to choose "Yes. This computer will be used as a Procare Check In station." This will create the appropriate shortcut on your desktop.
