Deposit Reports for POS Payments

Print Page
If you accept Point of Sale (POS) credit card payments you'll want to record them in their own, separate deposit report.

Point of Sale & Deposits

Point of Sale (POS) payments are different from Recurring Payments since each POS transaction is processed one at a time throughout the day, not as part of a batch. POS payments appear in the list of current payments that are not yet part of a particular deposit report.

Close Deposit Report with POS Payments

At the end of each day you’ll want to close all POS payments received that day into their own deposit report, separate from any other cash or check payments you may have received.
  1. Follow the instructions for Deposit Reports.
  2. Be sure to select only current POS payments for the deposit. Typically these will have a payment description like "Tuition Express: POS".
  3. Choose a Post Date to match the date the POS payments were processed.
  4. Note: If you have POS payments listed that were received on different days you'll want to:

    1. Choose all POS payments for a particular day only.
    2. Close the report.
    3. Then create a separate report for the next day, etc.
