Mobile Solutions/Text Messaging: Keeping in Touch with Your Families

Print Page
Many centers have asked how they can keep in touch with their families via mobile phones.  The best way is to use the built-in text messaging capability in Procare.

Text Messaging by Email

Almost all phone carriers allow messages to be sent to cell phones through email. Simply send a regular email to the users 10 digit phone number @ the carrier's extension. Although sending messages through Procare is free the person receiving the message will be charged at the normal text messaging rates by their phone provider. Since many people have plans that include unlimited texting this is usually not an issue.
