Data Hosting - Remove Prior Install

Print Page
If you previously installed Procare v10 on your computer and are now switching to Data Hosting you MUST follow these instructions to remove Procare BEFORE you install the Data Hosting Software.

Backup AND Export Your Data

If you plan to take the information currently entered in Procare v10 and move it to Data Hosting you will need to:
  1. As a precaution Make a Backup in v10 and BE SURE to copy the backup to another location like a USB flash drive. Once you remove Procare the only backup you will have available is one saved to another location (outside of Procare).
  2. Install the latest update. From the Procare Home screen click Utilities > Check for Online Update. Note: This is to ensure you have the latest version of the export utility.
  3. Export the Data from v10. This is not the same as a backup. Export is a separate utility used to create a file you can import to the hosted version of Procare.

Uninstall Existing Procare - Then Install Data Hosting

  1. Uninstall the existing Procare v10 using the Add/Remove Programs feature of Windows. Depending on the version of Windows you have this will be found in a location like: Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. Then remove "Procare".
  2. Note: Do not remove "Procare for Windows" as that refers to version 9.1.

  3. Download & install the Client for Data Hosting.

Import Data to Data Hosting

You may Import Data exported from version 9.1 or v10 or you may enter information from scratch. See special instructions to Convert Tuition Express.
