Symptom:
You were using Procare version 9 with older tax tables then updated to a newer release of version 9 (or downloaded new tax tables).  Afterwards, calculations for state tax withholdings may be a fraction of what they used to be.
 
What Happened:
In some cases the format for percentages changed in the new tax tables. For example, previously 7-1/2 percent would have been entered as 0.075 and now it is entered as 7.50. In other words the decimal place has moved two positions.

How to Correct:
  1. For each employee (in version 9) go to the Edit button, then click the Withhold button, then the Variables button.
  2. Next to the Category "State" for any percentage move the decimal two places to the right, for example 12-1/2 percent should be entered as 12.5 (not as 0.125).
