# Allow Parents/Guardians to Edit Family Information

Save time and allow families to add or update their account information. Once you enter a student's name and a parent's/guardian’s name and contact information, they can enter the rest. This feature can be helpful to enable at the start of the new school year so parents/guardians can confirm or update details as needed.

> This article applies to Procare Online only. For centers using Procare Desktop with Engagement Functionality, parents/guardians can update their family information in MyProcare.

> Note
> 
> - Staff will not receive notifications when parents/guardians make changes to their family information.
> - Parents/Guardians cannot update immunization records.

1. Go to **School Settings** > **Settings**.
2. Scroll down to the **Data** section.
3. Toggle on **Allow Parent to Edit Family Records**.

## What Can Parents/Guardians Add or Update?

The information a parent/guardian can add or update depends on whether they are using the website or the Child care mobile app.

- Name
- Phone Number

### Family List

- Name
- Email
- Phone
- Relationship to child
- Emergency Contact
- Add parent/guardian
- Add authorized pickup
- Add child’s physician

**Child Care Mobile App**

- Profile photo
- Name
- Mobile Phone

### Children

#### Child Information

- First Name
- Last Name
- Profile photo
- Add parent/guardian
- Add authorized pickup
- DOB
- Medication
- Allergies
- Address
