A multistep email verification process is used to enhance security and reduce email duplicates. Clear opt-out messages are also included. ## Newly Invited Parents To set up a Procare account, you must confirm your email address and complete the following steps on the Procare Online website. 1. The first reminder is sent after 3 days, and the second after 6 days. 2. Click the link to confirm your email address. 3. You will receive an email from connect-hello@online.procaresoftware.com with instructions to create your account. Do not create an additional account. 5. Click the **Procare Web Portal** link in step 1 in the email. 6. Enter a password. Procare Online requires the following: - A minimum of 12 characters - Must contain at least one of each of the following character types: - number - special character (~ ! @ # $ % ^ * ( ) _ - + = { } [ ] \ | : ; “ ‘ < > , . ? /) - uppercase letter - lowercase letter - Cannot be a commonly used or easily guessable password (e.g., “password1234,” “quertyABCDEF“ or simple sequences) > [!WARNING] > Strong Password Checks > > Procare Online blocks commonly used and easily guessable passwords. If your password is too weak, Procare Online will display a message requiring you to choose a stronger one. 8. Reenter the password to confirm it matches. 9. Click here**’ and click the link. > [!WARNING] > **Important** > > Clicking this link will block future emails related to setting up a Procare account. ### Opted Out by Mistake? Request to be re-invited by your school. | | ✅ | - The invitation code is unique to you and should not be shared. | | ✅ | - Each email invite includes a single code. Open the app. 3. Select your role. 4. Log in with your email address and the password you created. See [Getting to Know Your Procare App](/procare-online/docs/parents-getting-to-know-your-procare-app-1) to learn more about the app and its features. --- ## Switch Between Schools If you have children enrolled at more than one location or school and use the same email address for each account, you can quickly toggle between schools without needing to log in and out. **Website** 1. Select a school from the list, or use the search bar to narrow it down. If the email address is different, the account creation will fail. #### I did not receive my invite email. - Check your email spam or junk folder. - Confirm with your center the email address they have on file for you — the invite can only be accepted if you sign up using that exact email address. - Ask your center to reinvite you; this will generate a new invite email. > [!WARNING] > Note > > The email invite expires after one week and a new invite must be sent. #### I need to change my login email. You can't change your own login email. Your login email is permanently tied to the original email invitation. Contact your center and they can escalate this to Procare Customer Support on your behalf. #### My invite code is not working. Invite codes are unique to each user, so each person must sign up with the code that was emailed to them. This prevents account conflicts. The most common reason an invite code doesn’t work is an email mismatch. The email address used to sign up must match the address the invite was sent to. If the two don’t match, sign-up fails with an error. **If you have not created your account yet:** - Make sure the email you sign up with is exactly the one the invite was sent to. Double-check that the invite code you enter matches the one in the invite email, with no extra spaces or characters. Create your account using the Procare website link in your invite email, not by downloading the app first. I**f you have created an account with the wrong email:** - You are signed up, but you cannot see your child — don't try to fix this yourself. Contact your center and ask them to update the email address on file. This will automatically re-send the email invite to the corrected email address. #### My invite code expired. Invite codes expire in one week. Contact the center and ask them to reinvite you, this will generate a new invite email. ### Procare Account --- #### Create an Account With the Correct Credentials Once you receive an invite email, follow the steps to create an account. Logging in to Procare with the invitation code as your password will not work. You will receive an error that your email is invalid. You must first create an account. #### Create an Account on the Website Created your account through the website before downloading and signing into the Procare child care mobile app. #### I already have a Procare account. Do I need to sign up again? If you already have an account but you cannot see your child — don't try to fix this yourself. Contact your center and ask them to update the email address on file. This will automatically re-send the email invite to the corrected email address. If you have enrolled your child or a sibling in a different center, use the same email address.
