Server Patch

Purpose: This patch upgrades the Procare Licensing Service at your main computer (server). If you have questions, contact Procare Technical Support.
Note: If you’re using the Procare Cloud Service, the server patch does not apply.
Before You Begin
- Contact Support for the download link.
- As a precaution you are strongly encouraged to make a backup and save it to an offline device such as a USB flash drive.
- You must log on to your computer as a Local Administrator to install the patch.
Step 1 – Exit Procare
Exit Procare on all client computers, then move to your server (main computer) to perform the next steps.
Step 2 – Download the Patch
Download the server patch provided by Support and click “Save”. Select a location on your server’s hard drive where you can easily locate the file like your “Desktop” or “My Documents”.
Step 3 – Run the Patch
Browse to the location where you downloaded the patch. Dbl-click the file named “server_patch.exe” and follow the prompts.
Step 4 – Open Procare
After you have successfully run the patch, re-launch Procare, at which time any necessary update files will be automatically installed.
Step 5 – Check for Online Updates
New updates may have been released since the patch was created. To check for the latest updates begin at the Procare “Home” screen. From the Utilities menu (upper left) select Check for Online Update.
