Instructions for Creating Parent and Staff Accounts
Procare values data security, and access to the software is an important first step. A multistep email verification process is used to enhance security and reduce email duplicates. Clear opt-out messages are also included. Currently, this email verification is for the web portal only.
Complete the Sign-up Process
No email messages or activity reports are sent until the sign-up process is complete.
Newly Invited Parents - Web
To set up a Procare account, the email address used must be verified, and these steps must be completed:
An initial email is sent requesting verification of the email address.

Reminder Emails
Reminder emails are sent at 3 and 6 days if the email address is not confirmed.
Once your email address is confirmed, you will receive an email to create your account. It is sent from connect-hello@online.procaresoftware.com.
If you don’t see it in your inbox, check your spam, junk, promotions, or updates folders.

Opting Out of the Invite Email
If you receive an invite email by mistake, click the option ‘This isn’t me.’ Remember that this will block future emails related to setting up a Procare account.
Download Procare Child Care Mobile App
After following the steps above, download the Procare Child Care Mobile App on a mobile device or tablet from the Google Play™ or Apple Play® store.

Open the Procare Child Care Mobile App and select your role.
Log in with your email address and the password you created.
Dual Role Accounts
If you have both a staff and a parent account, you can easily switch between the two as long as they are linked to the same email address.
Note: Both accounts must be associated with the same email address for this feature to work.
Select your profile icon.
Choose Switch to Parent.

Open the menu.
Scroll to the bottom and select Switch to Parent.

Admin Follow-Up for Parent/Guardian Email Status
Rejected Emails
If an email is rejected, a notification is sent to the Admin. Until the email is updated, the account cannot be set up.
The Parent/Guardian profile has a status of ‘Rejected by recipient’
The Re-Invite is disabled until the email is updated
If the same email is entered again, the email must be confirmed by the Admin
All future emails are blocked until the rejected email is updated
Go to Students > Student Profile > Parent/Guardian window.
