SchoolCare Works seamlessly integrates with PowerSchool SIS, empowering schools to effortlessly synchronize and manage family records for Pre-K and K-12 students.
How it Works
This is a one-way integration from PowerSchool to SchoolCare Works, using PowerSchool as a primary “source of truth”. Records from PowerSchool are transferred using a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) and then compared to existing family records in SchoolCare Works to ensure consistent data across both platforms.
- This one-way sync will be sent nightly as a batch job at the scheduled time determined during setup.
- There are a total 43 fields that can be synced to SCW. This includes information for both child and parent/guardian data. The fields include details such as name, address, gender, date of birth (DOB), and more.
- If the data in SCW is updated and differs from PowerSchool, the PowerSchool data will replace the SCW data during the nightly sync.
How to Begin Integrating
- A PowerSchool account is required.
- Add the Student ID from PowerSchool into each student's profile in the 'Student ID/Record Number' field in SCW. Important: If this is not complete, students will not sync from PowerSchool.
- Contact Procare Support to set up your integration.
Viewing Imported Information
Once information is imported into PowerSchool, you can view the information in SCW by navigating to Approvals > Registrations > Actions > View SIS.
